The first edition of The Worst Magazine Ever after a seven-year hiatus was created as a response to the lockdown and its consequences. Artists, curators, poets and infectious disease specialists created 25 crossword puzzles by invitation of the editor-in-chief. Since solving word-letter puzzles is a very popular and well-liked leisure activity, Tomaszewska proposed a return to this formula during the difficult stay-at-home period. The crossword puzzles are thematic or general in nature, touching on issues such as art, climate change, dogs, soccer or infectious diseases, among others.
